Blowjob… the next generation?

2comments

A few weeks ago we posted an article called The Blowjob Generation, It’s All Fun And Games Until Someone Gets Cancer, about the unfortunate link between the rise in oral sex in young people and the rise in head and neck cancers. As younger and younger children are engaging in oral sex (including the infamous case of a group of second-graders allegedly fellating in the classroom), I began to despair that by the time I get around to having kids, the prize that will come in a Cracker Jack box will be a 3-pack of Trojans.

But according to a new study conducted by the Department of Health and Human Services, I may not need to schedule that tubal ligation after all. As reported in The Washington Post, many young men and women are waiting to have sex. 29 % of females and 27 % of males reported no sexual contact with another person … no oral, anal or vaginal sex at all. That’s right, actual virgins! Sex-ed teachers across the nation can rejoice, because the number of young people waiting to have sex is actually increasing.

Not to be a sexual killjoy, but knowing that more girls are holding out a little longer is definitely a plus in my book (sorry teenage boys). We at The Zeros Before The One are very pro sex (as long as it is healthy, consensual and informed sex that is mutually pleasurable) but we feel comfortable in being anti junior-high sex, and certainly very anti elementary-school sex.

So perhaps this next generation of kids has learned from watching the follies of the Blowjob Generation. So what do we call this next generation? Smart.

But we do want to remind people, adults included, that even oral sex comes with some risks.  As we were reminded in a recent episode of “Jersey Shore, many ‘adults’ know less than they should about safe sex.

Write more, thats all I have to say. Literally, it
seems as though you relied on the video to make your point.
You clearly know what youre talking about, why waste your intelligence on just posting videos
to your site when you could be giving us something enlightening to read?
